Florida Car Dealer's LicenseIf you want a Florida Car Dealer's License and If you are in Florida, you're lucky. Florida has more car dealer auctions than any other state! Most car dealer auctions in Florida are owned by www.manheim.com or www.adesa.com
Florida Car Dealer License RequirementsIf you have done online research on a Florida Car Dealer's License, it may seem like there are tons of requirements. You may have read about the place of business requirement, the bond, the class, etc. However, if you understand what the MINIMUM requirements are, it's really not that bad. Most dealers I know make over $100,000 per year and they only spend about $300 per month on overhead, so it's a small investment to make tons of money. Now anyone can go online and find out what the Florida car dealer license requirements are, but nobody bothers telling you what to do FIRST, SECOND, THIRD, etc, and nobody wants to show you the EASIEST and CHEAPEST way to go about meeting the Florida Car Dealer License requirements. If you want to learn the process inside and out, I recommend www.dealerlicense.com. You can purchase low-cost training manuals and videos that will not only teach you the easiest and cheapest way to get your Florida Car Dealer License, but more importantly, you will learn how dealers make money too. Their order page is located at: http://www.dealerlicense.com/order.html
WARNING TO FLORIDA RESIDENTS: If you Live in Florida You Need a Car Dealer License to retail cars in Florida!I AM A CAR DEALER AND I AM ALSO A LAWYER, SO I HOPE YOU TAKE THE FOLLOWING SERIOUSLY: There are many programs online where you can "rent" a dealer license or get licensed out-of-state. If you are wholesaling from auction-to-auction, it's difficult for your state to bust you. However, these programs can be problematic, especially if you are advertising to the retail public in your state, even if you are a wholesaler who sells "through" a network of local dealers. Even if you have a wholesale license in another state, by advertising to the retail public in your state, you are purporting to be a retailer and since you do NOT have a retail license in your state, the state considers it "unlicensed auto sales", which is usually a misdemeanor crime. If you don't believe me, simply call your local DMV investigator and they will certainly tell you the same thing.
Florida and Other States are Cracking Down on Out-of-State Car Dealer Licenses!HERE'S SOME REAL PROOF: Recently someone called me about advice because they were busted in their state for unlicensed auto sales. What happened was they lived in Florida and had a dealer license based in another state. They advertised a car on Craigslist.com and an undercover DMV investigator pretended to be a customer. Even though he had a dealer license in another state, when the Investigator found out that the dealer did NOT have a Florida dealer license, the DMV slammed the guy with a civil injunction lawsuit against him and if he continues to sell cars in Florida with an out-of-state license, he will be prosecuted as well. That unlicensed dealer has had to pay thousands in attorney fees for his defense. The investigator was nice enough to give him a "slap on the wrist" with a civil suit only, but not all investigators are that nice - you can be prosecuted. Do you want to take that chance?
In many cases, it's CHEAPER to get your OWN license in Florida than getting a "shady" out of state licenseWhy pay monthly fees to an out-of-state company when the same monthly fees can be applied towards your OWN Florida in-state car dealer license. I talk to dealers all day and many tell me that it ended up being CHEAPER getting licensed in their own state. If you know what the MINIMUM requirements are, it can be done. Your state will tell you the requirements, but they will NOT tell you the easiest, fastest and cheapest way to get your Florida Car Dealer's license. You can learn the easy, fast and cheap way at www.dealerlicense.com.
EVEN DEALER AUCTIONS ARE CRACKING DOWN ON OUT-OF-STATE LICENSESAt my local Manheim dealer auction there is a huge sign that says: "OUT OF STATE DEALERS: If you purchase a vehicle, it MUST be exported outside of this state." Not all auctions have this policy, but the trend is for more and more auctions to follow this rule. The auction does this per the state's request because the state knows most out of state dealers who buy, will try to sell that car in the state the car was purchased in. This is a back-door method that the state is using to further crack down on unlicensed auto dealers. What this means is that the dealer auction will NOT release the car to you because you have an out of state license - you need to show the auction a bill of lading from a trucking company that says the car is going to be transported out of state. This can be MAJOR problem if you have an out of state license! Do it the right way - get a dealer license in TEXAS.

The following free CAR DEALERS LICENSE information is intended to be a sample. If you want the full publications, please visit www.dealerlicense.com to learn more about car dealers licenses.
On this page, you will find free car dealers license information for: 1. The car dealers license bond THE CAR DEALERS
LICENSE BOND REQUIREMENT – TIPS AND TRICKS How to obtain a CAR
DEALERS LICENSE bond step-by-step:
Virtually
all states require a bond to get a car dealers license but vary as to the amount
of the bond. For example, some states require a $25,000 bond for a car
dealers license while others require a $10,000 bond.
Most
people think, "Ten thousand dollars? I don’t have that kind of money!
All I want is a car dealers license to
get into the auctions. What am I gonna do?” Can I still get a car
dealers license?
Well,
here's some encouraging info: My
first bond for a car dealers license was only $300 a year. That is only $25 a
month! Premiums do vary, but as far as I am concerned, a bond is a bond, as long
as you get the car dealers license. Therefore,
you might as well go for the cheapest premium. (After you get your car
dealers license you will get several offers in the mail for cheaper premiums,
since bond companies purchase mailing lists of licensed car
dealers.) Do
you need good credit to get a bond for a car dealers license?
I
was $30,000 in credit-card debt when I applied for my bond and I was approved
and I got my car dealers license. If
you have terrible credit, it will not hurt to try to apply.
Do not be afraid. It will not
cost you anything other than a wounded ego if you are rejected. If you
want your car dealer's license - you will get it! If
you cannot get a car dealer license bond with the first company, keep calling
until you find a company that will approve you!
All companies have different standards. Remember: EVEN PEOPLE WITH BAD CREDIT GET CAR DEALER LICENSE BONDS.
CAR DEALERS
LICENSE TIP: Do not forget the obvious: Before
you start shopping around for a car dealer license bond, you must have a business
name. Remember: Using a non-fictitious name as opposed to a fictitious name has certain advantages when applying for a car dealers
license (see section on "Tips and Tricks on Naming Auto Businesses").
Using a CAR
DEALERS LICENSE bond as proof of financial responsibility: You
might even be able to use your car dealers license bond as proof of financial
responsibility if you get pulled over while driving around your inventory if the
bond amount meets or exceeds your state’s required amount for financial
responsibility. See, a car dealers license bond can save you money!
In
other words, if your state says you must have at least $15,000 liability
insurance and you have a $25,000 car dealer's license bond, you technically can
get by without insurance. Simply
hand a police officer a copy of your bond if you get pulled over! NOTE: Get Insurance AND a Bond, for the best protection. Why
is a car dealers license bond required? A
car dealers license bond is required in order to discourage car dealers from
screwing people over and to give the public a sense of security when purchasing
cars from a licensed dealer. As a
licensed car ealer, you are in a position to really take advantage of people if
you wanted to. A
car dealers license bond is also required in other situations you might not
think about. For example, if you bid
on a car at a car dealer auction and refuse to pay for the car, the car dealer
auction can sue for your bond amount. WILL our Car Dealer's License Program WORK IN ALL STATES?Requirements do vary slightly from state to state, but most states have certain requirements in common with each other. For example, most states require a car dealers license bond, but vary in the amount of the car dealers license bond. One of the books available at our main car dealers license website, www.dealerlicense.com , called "Secrets of Licensed Car Dealers" contains the requirements of all 50 states in the appendix! The materials we provide will help you get a dealer's license in all the following states: Alabama Alaska Arizona Arkansas California Colorado Connecticut Delaware Florida Georgia Hawaii Idaho Illinois. Indiana Iowa Kansas Kentucky Louisiana Maine Maryland Massachusetts Michigan Minneso ta Mississippi Missouri Montana Nebraska Nevada New Hampshire New Jersey New. Mexico New York North Carolina North Dakota Ohio Oklahoma Oregon Pennsylvania  ; Rhode. Island South Carolina South Dakota Tennessee Texas Utah Vermont Virginia Washington West Virginia Wisconsin Wyoming. WHERE CAN I FOUND OUT MORE INFORMATION ABOUT GETTING A CAR DEALERS LICENSE?
